Lentils Nutrition Benefits...
I just love Lentils... Great for your health and waistline.. and the best budget food you can eat.. I just love throwing them in almost everything.. Here are some benefits...Lentils are high in fiber and low in calories
Lentils, a small but nutritionally dense member of the legume family, are a very good source of cholesterol-lowering fiber. Not only do lentils help lower cholesterol, they are of special benefit in managing blood-sugar disorders since their high fiber content prevents blood sugar levels from rising rapidly after a meal. Lentils also provide good to excellent amounts of six important minerals, two B-vitamins, and protein-all with virtually no fat. The calorie cost of all this nutrition is just 230 calories for a whole cup of cooked lentils.

Lentils, like other beans, are rich in dietary fiber, both the soluble and insoluble type. Soluble fiber forms a gel-like substance in the digestive tract that snares bile (which contains cholesterol)and ferries it out of the body. Research studies have shown that insoluble fiber not only helps to increase stool bulk and prevent constipation, but also helps prevent digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome and diverticulitis.

Stop, listen, Enjoy!
As I walk along the coast I love that there are so many people out and about. The coast is always good for seeing active and healthy people...but then to say hi to a passerby... they don't hear me because of the noise they have going on in their ears-they have to unplug to hear a friendly greeting.
I have never been able to walk, jog or bike listening to music to anything other than the laughter of children, the random guitar playing of a local musician and the sounds of the surf... Sounds I love...
How do people tune out to wonderful sounds?
When I have lived elsewhere, I missed the sound of the surf.
Stop listen enjoy!
